We will have a better idea tomorrow, but I suspect that we will have some scattered light rain and fairly moderate winds of 5 to 15. Looking at all the national and local weather channels they all seem to think that, or slight variations of that.

Have the weathermen ever been wrong before?

Early Saturday morning it will be calm with a light east wind picking up and increase in humidity. It will be cloudy with an East/southeast wind and occational light rain pretty much all day Saturday. Looks like a stalled low pressure system. I'm very encouraged because I always do well in a southeast/ east wind early in the season. Low pressure is a big plus. I think the fishing will be pretty decent, although I also think we are about 2-3 weeks away from the really hot bite.

Hello all,

I would like to say that the weather is going to be ideal. However, it looks likely that we will get SOME rain on Saturday. Most national weather stations predict about a 1/4" of rain for Onamia. The good news is that it will be starting around noon or slightly before and then taper off later in the day. Plus the wind (which is always one of my biggest concerns) only seems to be predicted for East 10 to 15 and tapering later in the day. Personally I wish the wind would be coming out of the South or West, but hey, whats opener without having less than ideal weather!
