Open Water??

Hello all,

I am curious if any of you have been by the lake the past few days and noticed any open water in the bays or main body? Have any of you been out perch fishing the past week? What is the current ice thickness that you have seen? With all the warmer weather/wind/rain, I am curious to know how the ice has been degrading.

I was up this past Sunday and most of the snow has melted creating pockets of water. There were some guys that walked out about 1/2mile. I didnt see any open water in Vineland or along the shore. I would say there is still over 12"+ of ice on the main lake..

I just got back from the big pond. The entire north end is open 6 miles out from shore. The south part of the ice is iced in, including the bays. The ice is all busted up and should be out in a week.
