Merry Christmas everyone.I hope I'm posting this on the right forum so,here goes.I have to go to Askov on Saturday for a family Christmas party. It's an all day affair and since I have to drive back almost to Red Wing on Saturday night, there won't be alot of alcholic beverages consumed.I may have to find an alternative to pass some time.If I get a chance,I'd like to fish. Are there any lakes within say,30 to 40 miles of Askov, that I might get a few fish?Gills to pike...I don't care.I'm just looking to catch a few fish.Any help would be much appreciated.Mike

I'd take a look at Big Pine west of Finlayson or Lake Eleven to the south of it.

Big Pine is known to be a good crappie lake. Lake Eleven sports a good population of gills, crappies, and pike.
