Mille Lacs

I hope to take my son out this week end to Mille Lacs. I am not asking for GPS coordinates, but can any one tell me where might be a good area to catch something?

Also is the ice safe for a truck? Where might we access he lake?

We were up to the north end of the lake, fishin myr mar flat 26 - 30 ft of water, you can get on the lake at myr mar cost 7.00$ access fee, you have to cross a bridge to get over the ice crack, and you can pretty much drive out with no problem.their are some ice ridges out beyond myr mar flat but i didnt go that far to see how bad it was, but the fishin was pretty good , caught some on plain hooks and rattle jigs with drop line and single hook, also change lures often this seemed to help a lot!
