Rush Lake Wednesday Night Bass League!

Hell Everyone!

Open invitation to all of you to fish our Wednesday night bass league! It is every Wednesday night from 6-9pm. We take off from CJ's On WEst Rush Lake. It is $20.00 per boat for entry fee. You are allowed to weigh a 5 bass limit with a minimum of 12". You can fish one event or all of them! If you have any questions please let me know!

Father/Son team of Dean and Tracy Shinler took first with a nice 5 fish bag of 15.3Lbs!

Second went to Mark Busch and Cory Frantzick with 11.8Lbs.

I am going to EW Rush this comming weekend for the first time. Going after largemouth. Any hints or tips?

Yah I have heard of catching sheephead while fishing walleyes ,but fishing for bass never heard of it before untill now. I guess catching a dogfish is more exotic than a sheephead though ,because you hear of more people catching sheephead than dogfish.

Just went over there last night and caught one but thats it. You could try the little humps that come up to about 5 ft. or so. Just use a pig & jig and jig it slow and you should get into some.

Winners husband and wife team of Marshall and Julie Adams! They weighed in 5 bass for a total wieght of 12lbs 13 ozs.

They also won the big bass pot! With a 4 lb 6 oz bass!

Someone mentioned how exotic it would be to catch a dogfish bass fishing well I guess I should feel honored cuz this spring on Tonka I caught about a 10lb dogfish on a Senko.

Inspite of some heavy rain and some seriously scary bolts of lightning the husband and wife team of Marshall and Julie Adams took first with a 5 bass limit of 12lbs 2ozs.

Second place went to father son team of Dean and Tracy Shinler! (Ooops! I mean Tracey!)
With a 5 bass limit weighing in at 11 lbs 2 ozs!

Big fish went to Wayne Brokkee with a 4 lb 7oz Largemouth!

Just thought I'd post this for everyone's information.
In case anyone uses the East Rush landing, it is undergoing some construction and is closed. I think they are resurfacing the parking area, and not actually doing anything to the ramp - not sure though. There was a couple people launched there yesterday, but I'm not sure about today. I saw some pretty heavy equipment pulling in there this morning, and there are "closed" signs up.

I propoese that the tournament director...(ie ME) Get 10 bonus points per tournament!!!!

hold up those whoppers for the picture.
Gotta hold it out a little further so it
looks about 20 lbs

I wasn't on East Rush, btw, I just drive by
the access every day going to work. Maybe
next week I'll fish over there (ack!)

Now, as a bonus, they are closing Cty 4
North of the West Rush access at the bridge
right before you get to Cty 2. If they close
any more, you won't be able to get a boat on
Rush unless you go through Cory's yard.
