Horseshoe lake?

looking for info on Horseshoe lake near Harris, need directions and wondering if there is any access?

Just go North of Stark on "the hogsback road"
sorry can't remember the # and the access is about 1/2 mile up on the right before you get to the lake. Rushpointer should be able to fill in my info gaps.

Good Northern and Bass and panfish lake. I've heard that the dnr stocks walleye now but am not sure. I'm gonna check that out on their site right now. Good luck!

County Road #8, is the number, the access to Little Horseshoe is across the road, not stocked for walleyes either but, plenty of panfish.

Rabaur(sp?) Just up the road on township 63 is also a good spot(first left before FishLake Township Hall). It's the southern end of the four lake, Goose-lake chain, Walleyes, Northern and Crappies(8 inches or so), Take 8 north from Stark and then take the first left(on 63), the next right and then the next left. There are no signs to guide you, good luck! in finding it(Look it up on the MNDR Site)It's a hot spot for crappies late in the season over the 'one' deep hole, again check the MDNR lake maps to find the deep hole, I would not recommend a fish house out here until at least mid Jan. or early Feb.

thanks, found all the lakes mentioned, only saw two people out on lil horseshoe, so I stop and chatted, they were marking a few fish, but nothing biting, I tried a little closer to shore for sunfish, caught 4 really small and 5 perch only slightly better,
threw everything back, ice was good and clear 6-8 inches
but I did'nt wander to the middle
