People have been catching fish out by rocky reef. Rocky Reef Resort has a marked road and had vehicles driving out to the houses.

The bite is going great out of Rocky's rental houses. Some guys were getting 10-14 fish per nite. The perch are scattered. The road that goes out of Rocky goes to the rentals and privates. You cant go anywere else with a car or truck. The ice is thick on the road but elsewere there are little brakers everywhere and the ice is terrible. The walleyes are biting all through the nite and at 5:30 to 7:00 am. I would suggest renting a house v.s staying out all night in a portable. The fish were not biting until after dark. My trip was cut short this weekend due to an accident to a friend. If you rent from Rocky tell them Derek sent you. Good Luck..

I will be there Friday afternoon through Sunday,..probably stay until 6ish or so,...depending upon the bite at that time. If the bite is strong I will stay until it isn't or until I have to be to work on Monday morning.

I hear rumor that Keith might have gotten out to Andersen's high and dry! And that the few houses that are out there are having a whole lot of fun! Any word on this?

I fished out of Rocky Reef Resort on monday evening, til 7:30. Fishing wasn't great. I only caught one 15" walleye and a few perch, wasn't marking a whole lot of fish either. I fished near the rentals, where the resort owner suggested, in 19" feet of water. I guess fishing(catching) was off there last weekend too. It sounded like I was a week too late, because supposedly the fishing (catching) was hot the week before.

Mike, the fishing was hot there last week. I caught the tailend of the bite Thursday. Sounded like the circus that came in Sat may have had a great impact. Another note the bite was all night long well after 7:30. I will be up there this Sun-Tues.

What are you guys using to catch the eyes? I'll be up Friday night until Monday afternoon, and looking for some great places to eat, and a few things to do. Although fishing is always my main focus, we've got 5 people going and I'll need some out-of-house time to keep my sanity.

The water level is still low but will be coming up after the last heavy rainfall that we got! Cliff

At the hunting shack we put up a pulley and run the winch cable from the 4 wheeler through it and hoist em up.

ps I would be happy to provide closeups of particular areas or the insets on the map.    Especially if they are of your hot spots.

Note to self.  Keep your "Packers Suck" T-shirt in the fishing boat for all future fish pics.   Ties are like head butts, everyone loses.

And this is why you ALWAYS check out FM. I had a crazy busy summer as I worked full time so my weekends and evenings I was always doing somthing and I never just sat down. So I just noticed I missed this great “ goodie” package. Darn!

A chain, a $20-$30 come-along and your set. Wrap chain around rafter hook up come- along and away you go. Been doing it this way for many many years without trouble.

I'll say this. As a Vikings fan, Mrs. Skunked Again was pretty emotionally upset in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. She warmed up a bit when her team came roaring back in the 4th. I don't think either of us would have survived the four hour drive back to MN without a tie.
