I was up there last week looking for muskies no go we did catch some nice northerns the big fish were deep like 25 ft with a lindy rig with a big sucker. havent heard much about the craps but from other lakes we have been fishing they should be in theeir early fall patterns over the open water.

Jason,
The open water tactic's kind of worked but the crappies were not bitin' to hard. prolly cuaght 20 over the four days we were there.
The norts were even harder to come by had one nice one follow me up and my fiancee had a follow. Did catch a couple little ones.
One guy pulled a 40" muskie.
The bass were active pulled a bunch in on at around 3#.

Over all did okay, But nothing like last year. windy rainy windy rainy

I know hwat you mean about not biting with the weather we would find the craps like that and stay over them and only get a few most would not bite.
