Hello
I will be taking the family up to sand lake by bowstring over labor day weekend. I have heard sand has crappies but I was wondering if this lakes has any sunfish also? If it does do they have any size or will I be catching a lot of little ones. Just curious and thanks in advance

Rocky, there are some nice sunnies in Sand, try the bridge area between Sand and Portage Lake in the evening. Used to live on Portage and have taken many nice sunnies in that area. Early morning in the weeds in Portage Lake east of the bridge is also good. Good luck and have a great trip.

Rocky-

I worked at a resort on sand for 4 years and there is definately some nice bluegills and crappies in that system, but it seems that the crappies are hard to find at times.
