It has been so quiet here I just had to post, nothing in a week. Fished Bowstring and other lakes last weekend in the wind and got ZIP. Those fish are one inch wide and still are smarter than me most times. That's allright but this weekend I'm going to go all out and have recruits coming up. If they prove again they are smarter I just might have to take up a different pastime like working. Rain or shine I will be on the lake one last time, according to the weather forcast, and hopefully between four of us with all of our beer brains together we can outsmart them fish!!!

Merc, How did you do this last week-end?
I was on Bowstring twice this year, and did
zero. Even if the fish aren't cooperating, we still have a good time.

Fiveshot, we did OK on Bowstring. Saturday was slow and then we got rain dumped on us just when we finally found them. Went back Sunday, kept moving around until we found them again. Ended up limiting out on crappies and a few bonus perch. We were all by ourselves and just kept hole jumping. It wasn't fast and furious but was fun just the same. If it wasn't for the light drizzle it would have been better but I won't complain.
A couple more days and I would say driving on will be over, it was getting very sloppy by the access.
