Canadian Crawlers

I work at Gander Mountain and spend a lot of my waking hours in the bait store. I was speaking with my live bait supplier today about the rules and requirments for Canadian crawlers, and he asked me to post a note on exactly what is required.
If you are purchasing a flat or bringing your own crawlers you have picked, they must have been washed and placed in paper worm bedding for a minimum of 15 days. After 15 days the bedding must be replaced with new bedding to insure that there isn't any dirt (or worm poop!)in the bedding. My supplier purchases his crawlers from Canada, but still goes through this process. I have heard rumors that a letter must accompany the flats, but that isn't true. My supplier called customs, and they had never heard of any such regulation.
Any questions, post them and I will try to get an answer.
