Walleye bite?

Recommended Posts

Fathead

Hello Y'all,

Just wondering if anyone has been out the past couple of days, and if they have had any success with the eyes? I have read the recent reports from McQuoids, Lundeens & Garrison Sports which claim nighttime has been the best. Has anyone been picking any up during the late afternoon, early evening hours with consistency? If so, what presentation seems to be producing? And what are the key depths, if any? I am thinking of cutting out at noon tomorrow and heading up for the late afternoon/evening run and could use some help. I haven''t fished the big water in 3 weeks!

Fathead, last weekend we caught fish, but there didn't seem to be any depth pattern. All fish caught were on the flats, both on the top and on the side. We used small orange and red spinners on 6' to 7' leaders with leeches and night crawlers. Both baits worked equally well. Good Luck

There's plenty of fish shallow, but you have to have some wind for them to bite during the day. Try anchoring with floats and leeches and trolling Shad Raps.

Rons right, we did very well in 6 feet on the rocks with some good wind.

Guys how's the mud going? Thinking of going up on Saturday and sweating in the heat.
