Nat'l magazine looking for fish stories

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a writer doing a story for a national magazine about fiberglass fish replicas. I'm looking for someone who's landed a fish (the bigger the better), released it back into the water, and then had a fiberglass replica made for a trophy. Please contact me ASAP at [email protected] Thanks.

richbeattie,

I caught and released huge 52" muskie. I haven't had a replica made, maybe your magazine would like to pick up the cost to have it done. You could be involved in the whole process from start to finish. Nothing like first hand information. It could be a win win situation for both of us.

you might want to talk to the upper red lake assn' . they have a catch and release program, that includes having a replica mount of northern pike that was caught and released done at cost, throwing in a nice pin to boot. there have been many caught in my group, but so far we havn't had the replica made. there may have been some done though. you could inquire with jerry at rogers resort/campground- 218-647-8262
if he has no info, then ask him, or look up al otto from waskish, he is in the url assn. he should know. tell him jigglestick sent you smile.gif good luck.
p.s. we have crossed this bridge before, but my preference is natural mount. my oppinion.
