Hello,

With alot of new members coming aboard, I would like to point out and encourage those of you whom already haven't to take a moment and fill out your profiles.

This helps everyone here get to know a little more about the persons we are discussing the great outdoors with, and also embodies the FM "family" motto and feeling.

You can create or modify your profile by clicking the blue link that says Profile under the red icon for posting a new topic.

You can also view someones profile by clicking on the "man" icon with the question mark (?) that is just to left of the edit icon.

Good fishing.

UJ

Hmmmmmmmmmm,
interesting idea here UJ,
I have been pondering your thoughts here and they don't quite make sense. In viewing your profile, you couldn't have been more vague could you? In viewing Rick's as Bryce said, ZIP,, well some of us certainly know who Rick is, but what about the newbies? Isn't that who you are calling on now anyway?
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,
what is it, do as I do or do as I say? confused.gif
just some thoughts,or is that food for thought?
ciao,tnt

Hello TNT,

My suggestion to everyone to fill out their profiles was just that; a suggestion.

Everyone should feel free to fill out as much or as little information as they'd like, or leave it blank.

It's just a neat feature provided that I thought I would point out to those that may not be aware. smile.gif

Thanks and good fishing,

UJ

Does anyone else see this behavior:

Click on a profile. A new window comes up with the profile. Close that window. Back out of the forum to the "main forum window"...now ALL topics have been updated as read (no yellow light bulb on), so I don't what subjects and items I've read.

Hey Bryce,
I was just kidding around.

As for the Profiles, it's to each their own.

Of course, some people will be more helpful if there's more info in a newer members profile. It just helps us get to know them a little better.

You're going to have to be alot harsher than that Rick to offend me. Just thought it was ironic. I'm sure we'll meet some day and enjoy a hunt or fish.

Rick would be LUCKY to be from Wisconsin. grin.gif

Where else can you learn to drink beer in the baby bottle and die of high cholesterol, liver disease and obesity?

Yeah, I'm from Wisconsin. grin.gif

There are certain benefits to having your real e-mail and profile available for all to see. The more open folks are the more others are willing to share.

I tend to not share as much with guys that refuse to share any details about themselves. But Eh..That's just me?

And Ah...Rick?...Rick WHO? grin.gif

I thought we couldn't list our email addresses in our profiles? I haven't looked at mine since I stumbled across all of you who think similar to me, but that's what I recall. Or Ed do you mean adding your addy to the meat of your message? I wouldn't mind my address being listed.
Just wonderin' out West,
Kevin

E-mail addresses can be spidered and added to spammers lists. We don't currently make them available in the Profiles.

Delmuts, no one answered your question. Click on the face and question mark above the center of anyone's post - it will open their profile.

I think some of us might not want that info on there as we may (naughty, naughty) be posting while at work and don't want our boss to know. By having that info on your profile it kinda leads them to you. I try to post on my lunch break but sometimes I just can't help myself-- This may also explain the goofy usernames we have instead of our real names.
