Storm and Deep Fish Question

Recommended Posts

I was out on a southern MN lake Saturday. We had some thunderstorms the previous few days. Fishing was poor and I decided to try some different spots on the lake, when I was in the deepest portion of the lake I saw plenty of fish, on the graph, in thirty feet or deeper and not willing to bite. Are fish affected by storms (Thunder/Lightning) and go deep?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Sometimes a storm will shut em' down..Other times it will fire em' up.

Is this lake a larger, wind swept lake? Do you know what the thremocline is in this lake?

30 feet of water sounds a bit deep for fish to be holding in a smaller body of water. Thermoclines are often above that level this time of year. Were the fish suspended?
