Range finders

Hello,

I've been looking at getting a range finder. I guess I was hoping to get some feed back on what brands everyone has and weather or not they like them. I hunt in veriouse places from the Big Horn mountains of WY. to the plains of SD. and need something to help gage distances.

Thanks in advance fellas!!

Chuck

I've had a Bushnell Compact 800 for about 5 or 10 years and really like it. Small, light, always been reliable. Only complaint I have is that it won't read ranges under 16 or 18 yards. That's not much of an issue, but I think some of the newer units can read shorter ranges, which may have some advantage to bowhunting. Good luck.
