In reply to my own request for info: Pike Island N,S,E sides steep breaks immediately adjacent to the island Verticle Jig(1/2)-3/4) with Shiners and its point-active bite 15'in wind to 40&50'outlying(lindy with shiner/spinner-colored hook..chartruese in wind 13"-18" 10 fish 10/4. Mouth of Ash River 20'-35' Verticle Jig suspended fish otherwise soft floating jig or plain hook 48"-72" snell with shiner/chub. LARGER MINNOWS=MORE ACTIVITY!to 26" most outside the slot. Bouy Marker 26 in the channnel was popular-you'll see the boats . Bouy marker 23 HOT HOT HOT. SUSPENDED WITH SCH>OOLS OF BAIT FISH VERTICLE JIGGING OFF THE BOTTOM TO AS MUCH AS 15' OFF THE BOTTOM IN 30+ WATER. MY RECOMMENDATION-FISH RIGHT OFF THE SHORE WHERE THE MARKER IS LOCATED (ALL AROUND THE POINT) AND FOLLOW A LINE TO THE CHANNEL MARKER. LOCATED THE FISH with your lc and follow them NOTE THE CLOUDS OF SUSPENDED BAIT AND THE HOOKS INTERMINGLED>>>WALLEYE!
