I'm in a family fishing tournament on May 17th and need help finding a big one. Any game fish will do. Prefer walleye but northern will do too. Last year a .75 pound crappie won (bad weather). Any help would be appreciated.

fallsguy,

Troll #5 shad raps and #13 floating rapalas anywhere around 12 feet of water and less. You should have no problem hooking into a northern or walleyes.

I would work Traulic's shoreline with a "Spot-tail" shiner, and a lindy rig. There are a couple nice rocky points along the shoreline and it seems to be good early. Other good early areas are the outlet bull rushes and the 1/2 mile rocks.

Good Luck

Blue Pike:
Traulic's shoreline runs from moon bar SE to where Rainbow resort used to be....Does that help?
