Jp Savage, hey buddy I had a good day in the MN/Pro Am. I was fortunate enough to have a good amatuer in the boat with me. He was a big help, a very fast learner very intent and a good listener. My pattern that I had planned on fishing had not turned out. I was concentrating on inside weed lines and flats from 4-10 feet of water. Prefishing was excellent on this pattern. It was all becasue of the weather overcast and clouds was what I neeeded or to go after those fish early.

Because I had doubts in my mind about the weather I had a second pattern which is what I have been doing out there all year. All of our fish came on plastics. Yes, I threw senkos but did not produce. The most fish came on the 1 bag of plastics that I sold you. CHOmpers!!!!! Nothing but good news for Chomopers plastics. The patter was fishing inside and outside turns and poitns.

It was a rather good day I thought I would be able to bring a little bit more weight to the scales but was unable to. The 3rd place bag came off of my 2nd starting spot where he hooked and landed 2 three and half pounders in front of my eyes. I did'nt think he knew the spot well enough and thought I could let the wind push me down the break which would make him slide off the spot. He knew what he was doing. I was able to cash $768.00 so I made money and also put my amatuer in contentions to be able to fish for a Brand New Ranger Bass Boat.

I can't say we hooked and lost any fish that would have hurt us. All and all it was a good day.

Jp I'm heading down to Minnewaska tommorrow for some great smallie action.

Keep In Contact, I will also see this fall if I can Get up to Park Rapids and go fishing.

Pretty quiet in here.  I've been fishing out of town the past 2 weeks.  Hope to fish the area lakes this week.  Heard reports of a good day crank bite on the chain but not much else.  With the full moon coming up this week may try some evening trolling.  Anyone else having any luck?

Haven’t fished the river for weeks and came home to high, muddy water so I doubt I will for another week.  I’d focus on shorelines and whatever backwater I could find at this time if I did go.

It was slow for me Tuesday afternoon and Thursday in Frazer / Smarts Bay. Wednesday was very good in 20-25 feet leeches / crawlers on a Lindy or a jig. Absolutely beautiful weather!

My wife and I had a good morning on Friday with bottom bouncers, spinners and crawlers in 20-24 ft.  Caught 9, threw back 3 18-19 in, 2 13-14 in.

I would head over the hill into the back country and fish the streams and lakes. You will have much better success catching fish. Bring bug spray

Lori has some nice gills and some okay crappies normally. Green has nicer sized crappies and gills. Ann lake has been kicking out some great fish. Check out fishing club.

Streams won’t have much of anything to offer this time of year. Maybe a couple tiny smolt rainbows. There are all kinds of shorefishing spots in the area though. Stream mouths are always the obvious spots to try. Spoons and spinners.

How was the trip? I was on the lake Tuesday and the weather was as good as it gets!

For those looking for some decent perch they seem to be hanging in the reeds chasing crawfish and minnows.   Some real dandies in there if you're in the right patch of reeds.  Not many out on the flats yet.

Been a tough bite the last couple days for me. Catching a few here and there but no consistency. Caught fish on crawlers leechesand jigging raps but for the amount of fish I’m graphing not near enough catching All my bigger fish have came on the jigging raps. How is everyone else doing?
