We will be up to Osakis the week of 7/29-8/4. I would appreciate any fishing reports or other information for catching walleye's and crappies. Also is the water clear for swimming or is there a lot of alge?

thanks
steve

Walleyes have been caught mornings or evenigs on the many bars and sunken reefs. Use live bait spinners w/leeches and crawlers. Crappies have been really scattered, but when you find them they are nice sized.
Swimming should be good, the water temp is in the mid 70's. The alge is not to bad.

I was on Osakis last night. Didn't find the fish where they normally were but did catch some nice walleyes and a couple of northerns pulling shad raps. Didn't see any other fish caught by corkers or riggers. So if you don't find them on the edge look for them in 5-10 ft pulling shad raps. Water does appear to be clearing up some from where it was 2 weeks ago. Good luck.
