CRAPPIE WEIGHT VS LENGTH

HEY ALL, I JUST WANTED TO POST THIS FOR SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT DISBELIEVE PEOPLE WHEN THEY SAY THAT THEIR FISH WAS A CERTIN WEIGHT AND THE FISH WEIGHED X AMOUNT OF LBS. HERE IS A FEW EXAMPLES THAT WILL SHOW YOU THAT LENGTH = WEIGHT OF A CRAPPIE CAN VARY ALOT.
5 LB 0 OZ = 21INCHES @ VERMILLION RIVER MN
3 LB 6.24 OZ= 19.5 INCHES @ STONEY CREEK MI
4 LB 9 OZ = 16 INCHES @ BLACK RIVER NM
2 LB 12.8 OZ = 17.25 INCHES NH
3 LB 11 OZ = 17.25 INCHES TX
THE LAST EXAMPLE AMAZED ME 1 LB DIFFERANCE AND HAD THE SAME LENGTH HOPE A LEAST 1 PERSON FOUND THIS AS INTERESTING AS MYSELF

I've figured somthing like that would be the case...some Crappie are so much thicker accross the back than others. It had to be.

It's no surprise to me. I've noticed even around the lakes here in the cities that in some lakes the crappies are bigger link wise but have thinner fillets but on other lakes the would have shorter fish with thinker fillets. It seens to me that lakes that are clearer have the bigger but thinner fish. The fish that come from stained water or more fertile lakes will have the fatter fish.
