shooks shake done incorrectly, apparently

Anyone who was going south near shooks yesterday probably thought there was a couple of guys in a truck coming at them that were having simultaneous epileptic fits, but the truth be told, i fell in for this superstitious nonsense called the "shooks shake". It was my third time up this year and this time i dinteven get 1 crappie. I did however, bypass a spot in my search for a place to set up that someone or (something) had drawn a smiley face in the snow. At the time i thought some kids were having some fun .It didn't register until i was on my way home that there were no tracks of any kind in the snow by the smiley face. What else that was really strange was that after dark, we heard footsteps crunching in the snow towards the portable, and when they stopped, i unzipped the door assuming to meet either a hardy visitor or a dnr officer. To my amazement, there was absolutley no one there. After getting over the creeps, i wrote this off to the ice cracking. Anyway, both incidents really wierded me out. Could i have gone into the triangle by accident, or worse yet, somehow angered the powers that be by doing the shooks shake incorrectly. Please!! I am a novice to the mysticyism angle of the url. I know that i must immediately return and do the shooks shake correctly if i am to have peace and ever catch another crappie. Is it indeed a violent left to right shake with the appropriate slathering or is saliva not required? Should i stop the truck and get out and do the shake? Am i over doing it?(my glasses flew off).Could i have been in the triangle and not known it?
