Six to seven foot spinning outfits, six pound low visibility line and 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jigs. Find some fish and this is all it will take.

I assume your going to Leech Lake?
What species of fish are you going to concentrate on, walleye, perch, pike, northern, crappie, bass, or a mixed bag?
Do you like to troll, drift with live bait, or cast?

Wave Runner – Excellent advice if you’re jigging for eyes but Leech offers such a variety of fishing, that I always end up bringing about 15 outfits along. My favorite presentation for eyes is trolling #5 & #7 raps but then the biggest eye I ever caught inhaled a very large shiner, on a plain hook, in 34’ of water.
nucardiac – If you don’t own any fishing tackle you could get by with just one outfit but 2 would allow you to cover most of the bases. Expect to pay ~ $150.00, per outfit, but then a good rod and reel last forever.
