I'm heading up to Leech for the first time Feb 21. I now know walleye season will be closed. I'm still wondering if anyone could give me advice for perch though. Are tipups used? If so, what kind (ie: Frabils, or flag tipups), and how are they rigged? On the poles, do you use pencil sinkers, split shot, or something else for weight, and what pound test (I assume 4#)? Last, could someone verify number of legal lines? Where I'm from it's 3, but I think in MN it's 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good luck, and good fishin' brothers...

Two lines in MN.

Two lines in MN. Also a small split shot is the most popular weight. I also like to use a small forage minnow or hali's tipped with a minnow head or spike without a plit shot or any other weight.
