the shooks shake

see what you make of this---- every time i or anyone in our party is heading up to red, the word has been spread, do the shooks shake. when you come into the shooks city limit, you have to shake. both on the way there and back. very important. technique isn't as important as the act itself. if you have been up there and didn't do so well, ask yourself, did i do the shooks shake? i'll bet your answer is no. want to change your luck? it's free and easy. think it's silly? so did my 12 year old boy. he refused to buy into that silly garbage. said it wasn't true. o.k. but don't blame me i told him. everyone got their limit and then some except the guys in the house he was fishing with(just a few). man they were merciless on him. the next time out he was telling everybody not to forget to shake. even shook himself. guess what--yup hammered 'em.even the wife shakes. the old man thought it was silly his first time out. 4 crappies. the next time out, he shook like an epileptic. 22 fish in 2 hours. like i said, it's cheap and easy. if you want to do a good one, don't even tell your buddy's what your doing. if they ask, just tell them you got a chill or some thing. then watch the gods smile on your holes. shake like a champ

I hadn't heard of the "shooks shake" I'll have to give it a shot! I'll have to teach my 8 year old too! Maybe we can bring some luck with us to URL! What is the ice depth at now on URL, do I need to bring my extension along for this next week? any help?

Thanks Kelly! We used to go down and buy our minnows from your mother. Sorry for your loss. I don't recall WW selling minnows last summer,is this something they just started lately? I bought my minnows from Shorty last summer, by his had pretty short life cycles. We are coming up for the contest on the 2nd, good luck!

I never knew what the shooks shakes was, but I did limit out last time and REAL quick. Didn't even start poppin holes til' bout 8:00.

I thought about it... "ya know what" I said to myself, " I did use the mens room at Shooks. Therefore I did a lil shakin in a different way". That must count too.

i bypas shooks. never have shaken. been doing nothing but reelin' and reelin', slab after slab. seems to work for me!! keep shakin' if you think it works, try not shakin'- see if really makes a diff..

I went to Red Friday. I even left work early. I did not do the shooks shake. I got skunked.
Next time I'm up it'll be hard to keep my truck on the road cause I'll be shakin my A** off.
