Planning a late May 2002 tripto Woman Lake.Anyone have suggestions for a resort? Also would appreciate info on walleye/panfish
presentations and locations for that time of year.Thanks.

I would recomend staying at Journey's End resort on girl lake. If you don't want to stay on girl, broadwater resort on broadwater bay is a good choice.

good luck in may

Talked to Broadwater yesterday about reservations. It appears they have a nice resort.Anyone able to give me some likely walleye/panfish areas so I can study the maps this winter?I would like to make my father in law happy-know what I mean?

If you are still in need of extra lakes to try, give Big Birch a try. It's in the town of Hackensack and has a great public access. Crappies can be hot in that lake, as can the waldos. I learned that last year after many told me you couldn't!!! I didn't catch a crappie smaller than 1lb. If it's a warm spring, look to the outer edges of the weeds and pitch small tube jigs with a crappie minnow, or just slow troll them with you electric. This is amazingly deadly for crappies!!!! Good luck. Opps, one more lake to try...... Stony!!!!! Between Longville and Hackensack! PLUGGIN IN THE DARK!

I'd also recommend Dan Krone, I got to fish with him two summers ago through a contest on this web site. I learned a lot, but Dan is just a great person to share a day with.
Hey Dan, how did the idea of Guideing for Northern Pike work out last Winter? I know you had talked about trying it when Clayton and I fished with you.
Good Luck up there, the Woman Lake area is absolutly beautiful,
Eric Korman

Central America. Focus. We almost went for a local overnight crappie run but the daughter’s septic froze so I got to work the brown trout pond through a 4 inch hole. It was opener today afterall. 😉

Ok, how did we get from crappies and freezing temps to pond slime eaters in south America? Focus! 🙄

The locals there shoot ducks but don't hunt them. If they see a bunch on a pond they'll sneak up and water swat them but it's strictly for food not sport. My buddy runs an outfitter so him and I will hunt a few days and scout then I'll help him with a group whose coming mid week. He's from there. Hoping he can come to Canada next year with me. He's never seen or shot a goose

Awesome kind of trip! I figured there would be a local benefit if you couldn’t bring them back (not saying you can’t). Having a connection down there is pretty cool! We donated a good share of meat to the village in Kotzebue, AK instead of shipping it all back. Pretty pricey and they really appreciated it. Win/win.

I don't bring them back, eat a lot then clean them for the village. Some like them plucked and some like the breasts cut out. It's really remote where I go and the locals live off the land. I know they want me to go get some doves for them too. My buddy is a local so we'll probably go get a deer as well for some venison for some of the elders in the community

Ya cooked em wrong! lol! Not even sure if you can bring ‘em back from Central America? You can’t from Argentina, last I heard.
