I'm going up on the 29th for 7 days and will be staying at Brindleys Harbor in Trading Post Bay.
Guess we will find out what the fishing is like. Some of my favorite spots are Goose, Duck Points, The Meadows, Pine, Stony, Otter Tail etc. The wind, or lack of, will be the deciding factor on where I'll be fishing.

The walleye fishing has been very good when the wind blows. Last weekend was a great bite. Yesterday was tough but there was no wind and high sun but the perch made the day.
I have been fishing the off shore sand flats between Pine and Stony points. Also Grandview and the Snake pitt. A jig and minnow combo has been producing(rainbows)
Not much activity on the main lake points yet but the water temp is droping fast (57)and the points should start giving up walleyes. The key factor is wind, if there is none fish the 15 ft plus depths arond structure.
Good luck
Tom Wilson

Gofish,
The wind is the deciding factor on where to fish and what to fish for on Leech.
The water temp should be down to the mid 50's by Saturday.
Would love to find a couple of nice school of Jumbo Perch. Yummi - fresh fish fry.

On 9-28 we started out in the 8-14' range off of (5) mile point kicked up 2 walleyes.. pretty small though.. The wind was blowing pretty hard from the south made it difficult day. bottom bouncers with 9' snells tipped with a crawler did the trick. We only marked walleyes in that area. Move around Sugar point was dead so was goose island.
I would stay around (5) mile an try switching the tackle and try to kick a few up. godd luck Northern and muskies were been caught east of Bear Island .. plus on a wind day this area will provide the people with smaller boat a great day.
