You guys have got a great forum goin on here, nice job. I made my first trip to url last march, the first day's fishing was absolutely phenomenal! The second day wasn't that great but the first day made up for it. The biggest bummer of the whole trip was the drive to and from the motel, I'd much rather spent the time fishin. We stayed in Baudette. To solve the motel problem we built a 7' by 12' retractable wheeled fish house with bunks. Rather than drive 4 hours and find out I'm an idiot I figured I'd ask first. Question? Are there any bridges I need to get over to get where I need to be? If so will they accommodate a 9' wide axle? Thanx!

Hey Kelly...Seriously, THANKS! for helping to get the house out! I can't wait to get up and use it again! Flapjack, don't worry! Even if the bridge wasn't wide enough for your house, Kelly will find a way to get it out...it's as simple as a little steel and a little welding usually.(?) As the previous post states watch your width on the roads you don't want to get tagged for a wide load without a permit! You might want to have a chase vehicle behind you? Kelly when we get back up I need to square up with you...we never had a chance to really finalize things, plus once our new and improved runner system is in place we'll have to work that out also. We had to bolt early on Sunday so Mitts could plow. Till then keep the stools warm and the tables upright! Ken

LABS4ME,
We are squared up. I sold your whole house. smile.gif Bad skids and all. Now we don't even have to fix the skids I rearranged.
There's even $23.86 left over for you out of the deal.

Thanks for the info guys. It seemed to me when we were up there last year (early march) that we had to cross a bridge that was made of steel, kind of like two planks laid down one for each tire. We came on at the new bar I forget the name. By the way on my original plans (in my head) the house was supposed to be 102" wide. Somewhere in the translation from my head to tape measure something got screwed up somewhere, but that's about normal for me. It's a curse I have to live with I guess. Maybe I'll try the tape measure thing again to see if I can narrow it up a bit. The last thing a guy needs on a trip is a big hassle with Barney Fife! Thanks again.

The bridge you mention is at West Wind. It now has 34 more inches of flat steel outside
of where your vehicle tires run. With the steady temps the bridge should not be needed until the next warm spell when the ice expands and pushes up teh pressure ridge.
