The unseasonably warm day made this just another trying day on the big lake, just when things were going so good too. We had to reroute one road because of cracks in the ice and Tim and I spent the better part of the afternoon building a bridge across another crack just in case things get worse, so it now is in place just in case we need it.
The crappie fishing this morning was very good; it is kind of nice to see a morning bite except now I have to set the alarm so I can be out here to sell bait. The afternoon and evening bite again was somewhat slow with most everyone catching just a few.
The northern pike continue to tear up the crappie tackle, the largest fish across the scale today weighted in at a hefty 16-¼ pounds.

p.s Tom Porter say's 7:30 a.m until 2 p.m. anything after that is a waste of time...
