Sturgeon action now???

Hi all, would a trip to the Rainy in search of sturgeon be worth while this time of year? Had a blast last spring....would like to stick a 60"+ before ice up. Sandee...any cabins available in the next 2 weekends?

Sturgeon fishing has been good the last few days. Fishing near Birchdale, our anglers caught and released a lot of big ones. The river muddied up early in the week and is starting to clear. When muddy, sturgeon is the target fish for anglers. Harvest season closes the end of this month, then it's back to C&R until April.
