Rick and I thank all those who contributed to our efforts! Also thanks to all the posts on the river fishing and suggestions. It was a strange spring, one of the unpredictable ones that kept us all guessing!

With the late start of spawning, it should be a good openers like we experienced a few years ago with similiar circumstances.

We have limited availability left for openers, plus the Governors Openers is being held on the lake!

With out your awesome updates and optimistic updates I would have most likely not made the trip up there this spring either.. Each year I have wanted to head up there but something always came up.. but not this year.. I had a blast and now plan on going back more often.. As a matter of fact, I was planning on heading up there this weekend but with the searching for Dru here I had to put it on hold again plus the rain in the forcast puts a damper on it also.. Heck Im still recovering from that weekend in the cold and rain.. Got a good case of walking Phenomia..(SP)?....

I too want to thank you and Rick. Going to the rainy in spring has become a tradition for my boy and I (past five years), as well as several fishing buddies that live near me in the Brainerd area. I am blessed to be self employed, and have a good staff that can handle my business for me so that I can go fishing in the spring. Basically, all I need is a days notice, and I can be up there. But, there is no way that I could do this without your honesty, and your website reports. This year, I was up there the morning after Kooch. county opened up Birchdale. For those of you who need a place to stay near Baudette, I recommend Clementson resort. It's a convenient, quiet place to stay, that hasically has anything you will need close by. These people deserve our business more than anyone else that I can think of because they go "beyond the call of duty". Sandee, my boy, my uncle, and my cousin are coming up to fish for sturgeon on the 24th. We're staying with you again. I saw your April 17th update on your website. This Chris Wacker guy looks like a serious sturgeon fisherman like myself. Any chance you could put me in touch with him? Email or phone #. Thanks again!

I would also like to thank Sandee and Rick for their information on Rainy fishing. It has helped me and my friends out a lot. I would venture to say that we would not get as many walleyes without their info (even though this year was a bust). so thanks again. See you next Spring!
