I fished the Rainy last week for a few days with BDR, and boy was that fun! BDR knows his stuff about the Rainy River and put us on some fish. Here are a few pics...

My favorite fish of the trip...a 56 inch sturgeon...

I caught just about every single one of my fish on the White Firetail Ring-n-Grub with a pink/white 1/4 oz jig head by JR's Tackle.

Yep, we got some eaters too. Although we didn't keep a whole lot for the fryin pan, most of the fish went back in.

Nice fish guys!
Looks like that was a lot of fun.
Any particular pattern you were fishing?Depth,jigging action,etc.
I know those Ring-N Grubs are awsome baits.Last fall on the MN River they out fished every thing in my tackle bag including live bait.From mid fall, all the way to ice up,every one in my boat got at least a limit a piece on them every time out.

The first time I tried them was on the Rainy last year and caught a lot of fish on them.I kept my tackle bag stocked with them after that.

How was CLementson's?
I stayed there last year and Sandee is a great host.Nice place to stay.

Good video but its getting old. Time for the opener so you can get some FRESH stuff. Also the sound seems to be poor on them.
