What Minnows to bring

What has been working best? Also 2 walleye under 19.5" is that the rule? Are we allowed to take any sauger?

the biggest Rainbows you can get have always produced best for us.

If you want to keep 2 Sauger rather than 2 Walleyes it's your choice...

Don't forget to throw in the plastics too. They can make a real big difference.

Rainbows worked good for us. Feds bait in Deer river set us up great.

Bigeyes- I would definately take off to go fishin. We fished 8 days. Started out good then got lots of rain and run off, cold front, fishing got a little tougher than it started. We averaged 25-30 fish per guy a day. Couple 28" and lots of 24-26". The bigger fish were in pockets just off the deep water and the smaller fish seemed to be holding tight in the channels and holes. Current was strong and drift sock helped our hooking percentage greatly. Colors? Everthing worked but white worked the best. Matt J. did very well on white Catch'n tackle plastics. Sizes? Large Rainbows(Freds Bait)and jigs 1/8 1/4 1/2 5/8 we used them all and change frequently as the wind changed. JR's rattle jigs were great. I now have to restock as the river always claims 25$ fro, my jig box!

Hope this helps-Have a good trip

Thanks guys. BDR you were up there a long time. Any advice on jig color, weight, depth and general location? Sounds like the bite has really shut down BDR would you even bother taking Friday off for an extra day of fishing or should I just go up Friday after work. Hate to burn a day when the bite is off that I could be using another time.

Thanks
