new to rainy fishing

will a 14 ft deep hull with a 9.9 motor be enought for rainy this time of year? dont know if you have to travel long ways for diff. spots or if current is strong?

You'll see many people up there in all sorts of boats, from 14 footers, to duck boats, up to 20 foot tournament rigs. Boats don't catch fish, and anything that you can get in the water will work. You don't have to travel far from the access to find good fishing. Some of my favorite spots are just upstream from Birchdale, just downstream from Frontier, and the whole 2 mile stretch upstream from Frontier.
