Hi viper 3/8 ounce jigs will be plenty big. As far as line for the current nothing bigger than (8lb) mono. Fire line 2/6 or 4/10 is the best for current. What ever you use just try to keep your line as vertical as possible to keep out of snags and to keep close to the bottom. If you have to point the nose of your boat into current and use trolling motor to slow you down.

Going up for the first time on April 10 and 11. Was wondering what to bring as far as jigs, and such. 3/8 ounce big enough? or need to get bigger. Also I have never fished in current, how heavy of line do I want to use? All help would be appreciated.
