Hello Mr caster,
it was a great opener on the rainy River.

Now the Big Pike and smallies are turning on.

What's really great is now you pretty much have the River to yourself.

Now for the Rest of the Story, if you are located at Clementson Resort on the Rainy River, if the fishing goes south on ya on the Rainy river, it's just a 20 minute hop to Lake of the Woods. Seclusion and great fishing all around you.

Another little secret is that it's priced right and the owners, Rick & Sandee, really take good care of you.

I recommend them very highly:

I think they're running a June Special as well. Bring the Family.

Hello Walleye fishermen and Ladies,,,Boy what a walleye opener on Saturday...It was saturday midmorning...Boats running up and down the River. Went to a old fishing spot and caught one Walleye and thru him back.said to myself, self lets try another spot looks like this spot was spooked out. I am fishing from the shoreline so I picked up my gear and walked 1 1/2 mile down the shoreline to my next spot. Tried a new bait had 8# test line, 3/8 charchuese jig, and put a soft body charchuese sassy chad on 2" chad, Yes, a Bass bait from old Mr. twister.. Found a break on a feeding flat and whamm a Walleye lightly grabbed it. Caught 6 in a row could have caught lots more their. All 18" long, wieghed, 3# - 3 1/2# each. All males, largest males I have ever seen or caught. 2 years ago I caught 2-3 Walleyes over 25#'s their. And thru them back. This year I want to catch a 25# plus and put her on my wall. I have a 12 1/2# der on my wall now. I have caught my largest Walleye ever here on Rainy River, Spring, Early summer, and Fall...I had never seen Walleyes this large anywhere else, not even mounted.I have nothing but Great Praise for this Old River, and the Lake of the Woods. The Walleye fishing is just Auwsome here...Hope you catch a Wall Hanger.Thank-You, for your time,
Mr.Caster........

Hello Fishermen,,,Thanks for the Great offer but I live here only 15 minutes away from Rainy River...5minutes from the Lake of the Woods...If I wanted to go on Vacation here they would be a great choice...I go past their place all the time...This is a Excellant area for Walleye,Northern, and Smallmouth Bass, fishing...Catch lots all the time...Oh Yes,,,There are some large, and I do mean some large Muskies in the Rainy River too...I did hook into one or two in the middle of Summer here...I do mean big. When I go fishing I use 7 1/2 foot, and 9 foot rods Not to much get away with that kind of leverage but those two Muskies did...Just awsome fishing up here...Had to share...Mr. Caster.......
