Recommended Posts

Sandee, I heard that there is a second annual fishing tourney this year on Rainy River sometime in early oct. Do you know where I can find some info?

It's the 2nd Annual North Star Fall Walleye Classic Oct. 6th & 7th 2000
Entry fee is $325.00 per team For more info and entry form call Kevin Olmstead at (218)-634-9457 or Wigwam Resort at (218)-634-2168.
The tourny is based out of Wigwam Resort.
Good Tournament, last year there was a pretty good bite, this year should be no different for the first week in Oct.

Thanks Tom.

We would just like to put out a reminder to all those participating in the tournament to practice some ethics. That time of year there are many anglers fishing on the River. We would appreciate if the boats would run the proper distance from the boats. Last year we had participants of the tournament crowding the boats that are here for their annual fishing vacation. We realize the tournament offers big prizes, however, be considerate of others.

Thanks.

Don't know where it may be posted on web. Tourney was won by Mike Vacura and Rob Dory of Roseau, 2 day total of just over 25#'s, big fish was caught on saturday, 10.25#'s. With the major cold front the bite was rather slow compared to earlier in the week. Some stable weather and the fishing will be RED hot.
