Openers

Well, getting back to fishing again. I just got a new computer with a digital camera and I am more than ready to take some pictures to download. River conditions, level is still low. This should make for a good spawn for the walleyes this season. Lot of big sturgeons being caught, heard a 90-pounder out of Birchdale last week. Also heard rumors that DNR may want to make a slot limit of 40-60". We'll have to wait and see what happens.

5 days from now it will be openers for walleyes here on the river. Levels are lower than reported this spring. Sturgeon, northern and smallmouth bass are open and biting. We are getting ready for openers and will be out on the river Saturday, along with guests here at Clementson Resort. Finishing some of our chores, and will probably hit the river this week for smallies as well as the bay. Will give a report on water temperatures then.
