Great to hear you had a great day.

It sure was a nice day Saturday. Especially if you're catching fish. We'll have to get together next time you visit your friend at his cabin. wink.gif

OK OK don't get a big head but...
Some friends bought a cabin/home on Rice lake by Paynesville and being as I don't have a cabin, we mooched the day (saturday) up at their place (great day). Anyway in return I had to take my friend out and help him find some fish. Well I quick read your report about trolling cranks on the weed line and I was off... we caught fish...we caught nice fish... we caught lots of fish... we released them all. It is a great lake and thanks for the info.

Hi Borsch, I'm new member to the site, my parents have a cabin on Rice, east basin, and I see you fish the lake a lot.I look forward to exchanging info with you and others.I remember earlier this summer seeing a boat with "fishingminnesota" logo on the side (in fact that is how I discovered the site) , red aluminum Lund I think. Is that you?
I admire the unselfishness of the FMers and hope to contribute soon.

I am also a new member and am really suprised with all of the info available. The plan was to go out this morning on lake Racier in St. Joseph but as you can see the fishing wouldn't be very good this morning. So I logged on to the site and got set up. Hope to contribute to the tips. By the way anybody ever fish Racier in St. Joe???

Pisces,
Welcome to the site.
No that wasn't me. I run a blue lund predator. I know a few others as well that fish it pretty often.

Last time I made it over there was Tuesday night. A very fun night with several eyes 22.5 - 26"(all released). With the weeds dying down I'm starting to switch over to minnow type of cranks(long baits). The eyes size has definitely gone up using the bigger baits.

Good Luck and maybe I'll see you on the water.

Studer,

Welcome to the site. Sorry I haven't fished Racier lake. In fact have never heard of it before.
