Pleasant Lake Eyes

Recommended Posts

I want to take my girlfriend out fishing this weekend and I was wondering if anyone's been to Pleasant Lake in Rockville lately. I want to try to catch a couple of walleyes and maybe a crappie or two. Although ANY kind of fish would be good. I haven't heard anything about the bite on this lake yet this year and any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if the eyes are biting anywhere else around St. Cloud, please let me know. Thanks!

Pleasant(near Rockville)isn't much of a walleye lake. There are a few in there but this time of year is really tough to get any out of there. Although the crappies are are pretty good and it's pretty good for pike and bass too.

Lakes that you'll have a better shot at eyes for right now are pearl, grand, horseshoe, rice and koronis. See area report thread for recent bite info.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info! I've been checking into going to Grand Lake. I talked to some guys at work and they said the water sports traffic is pretty high there. They couldn't tell me anything about the bite there this season, though. Anyone been out there recently?

Well, we went to Grand and it was pretty much a bust, exept for a lot of small sunnies and a few small bass. We went to Pleasant this morning and I boated a 5# northern in the first bay area. We also had a huge crop of small sunnies around the boat the whole time. It's funny to see them try to eat a lure twice their size smile.gif My friend and I are heading up to the Motley area to try Shamineau or Alex for some eyes and maybe a muskie tomorrow. Hopefully we see a few fish smile.gif
