koronis fishing trip

I just wanted to post that our fishing trip to Lake Koronis was a huge success for our family. We caught numerous walleyes the whole week. My brother caught the biggest of the week (30 1/2") we guessed it at roughly 10-11 lbs. This fish was absolutely huge. We took pictures and released it. The pike bite was awesome as well. We caught roughly 15 pike that were keepers. Every fish that we caught was on a spinner and leech. We even caught some smallies. I want also put a plug in for Stonegate Lodge it was very nice. We cannot wait to come up here again next year. Or maybe in the fall.

TITANS; Glad your trip was a success, Koronis is a absolute gem of a lake. If you really want to hit some huge eyes try it in the late fall before ice up. The big females really stack up on the deep breaks and are on the feedbag. Last October I CPR numerous big walleyes out there.

I've never done the deep fall daytime bite on Koronis but I've chased those same fish after dark in October pulling cranks up on top with good success. Although I have yet to break the 30" mark there. Although lots of 25 - 28 inch fish. Maybe I'll need to give them a shot if I can still find some big redtails at that time of year.
