AVON area

hello, does anybody have any info to share for largemouth, smallie or muskie fishing in the Avon area? my mom has a place on spunk lake and I've fished it alot and would like to try something new. thanks for any help in advance. TROLLIN

I'm not aware of any muskie lakes real close to Avon. The mississippi rive is likely the closest. As far as LM Bass and pike there are a lot of options. Pelican, Guernsy, Sauk, etc. The smallies theres Big Birch or you could head south to Koronis or Rice. All are within 30 minutes of Avon.

There are good populations of bass and most Avon area lakes. Don't be afraid to try the "less traveled" lakes either, some hold good populations of fish! You might want to give Upper Spunk a try if you are only fishing one of the other Spunk lakes!

My brother fished lower spunk(furthest north) last week. The lake looks like a swamp but holds a surprising about of structure. Also no shortage of Bass and pike there and not a lot of pressure.

Grew up in Avon, used to fish middle and lower spunk quite a bit. North shore of Lower was always favorite, lots of structure (points, weedbeds). Also a small bay on north side that can be (depending on time of year) loaded with fish. Good Luck
