Don't be afraid to try up in the weed beds. There are a few sneaking up in there and hanging out. We found a nice patch that was holding fish near first island. Good luck.

Start at the weedline. You'll likely get walleyes, smallmouth and pike there. If there's nothing doing there than work your way out. You'll find them anywhere from the weeds to 30 ft deep there this time of year. Leeches and crawlers should work.

As far as spots go the area around the islands are usually productive. There are both gradual and sharp breaks there. Otherwise the midlake bar usually has a few spots that produce fish.
