I went there last evening to fish, but, three gates were open and the water from the power house was pretty turbulant. I figure the water was to wild for fish at this time. Maybe I'm wrong- any thoughts?

When the waters really flowing try the East side. There are a couple of eddys that hold fish. Look for the cable that goes across the river.

I have had really goo luck when the rivers are higher. Like tour Pro 175 said, look for those current breaks. When the river is high they really pack into those.

On the opposite side, when the rivers low the fish often pack into any holes available.

It seems the higher the water the better the fishing is. They opened another gate over the weekend but the water is still low. I seem to have the best luck along the cement of the dam and behind the pylons of the trestle. There are plenty of rocks to break the current. I was going to try it this morning, the ice is too spooky on my favorite lakes but we are days away from the best panfishing of the year
