It was a suprise to me to see 2 eagles out on Horseshoe during the Cat gathering in January. This past trip out they were out there again so I took a couple pictures. It's amazing to see these birds pick up a fish and fly away. Also it gave me a chance to show my son what they look like since you don't see them much. The only thing better was the group of 12 deer that I encountered on my way out to my fish house one morning on our lake. Right in the middle of the lake.

Chemist, did you and Zach see all the turkeys in that field between Cold Spring and Richmond on Monday? there must of been 12 or so. FYI- I have to work in St. Cloud on Friday until about 1:30, but should be able to head over to the Shoe after that. If you can make it, look for my red Jeep.

Got the pics back can barely see the eagles. I didn't see the turkeys this time but early jan late dec. my dad and I saw them right before the golf course coming into Richmond from Cold Spring. The pics of the fish turned out pretty good. So Haad the ones you took turned out better. Now to figure out how to get them on here or should I e-mail them to someone, Maybe Rick?

The pair of eagles have been out there all winter, Its a nice site to experiance. It gives hope that there still are some beautifull things left in this world. Those turkeys you guys saw live in the woods behind the CS lumber yard, I hope they dont get pushed out when the new Hwy comes through. The turkey population has taken off in this area it's just to bad I didn't receive my permit this year!!!! Well there is always next year.

I've been seeing a lot of turkeys in the field east of Pam's Auto between St. Cloud and St. Joe.
