My Father-in-law and Brother-in-law have been urging me to take them ice fishing. I ice fish about 4 times a year and am not a pro. I have only the basics (rods, lures, hand auger) No electronics! I would love to find a lake around the St. Cloud area that would be easy to get to, have some structure, and we could pull a few fish out. I don't care what kind of fish, just enough to show them a good time. If someone can point out a lake and some general instructions of where, when, and what to use, while on that lake, I would be so greatful. Thanks, Pauly

If you want to catch some scrappy gills and a few crappies you should go to Gemini by St. Johns. It is a little lake that anyone could fish. No need for anything fancy, just a waxie and a hook. Fish just off the highway, its about 12 feet deep in the deepest spot. The fish are very aggressive and easy to catch. I have not been there recently but this is how it was all of last year. Limits are easy to catch. Otherwise I would try Pleasant, Kraemer, or pearl. Good luck. OR...just take them to LOW!
