Panfish - Crappie help

I was kinda hoping to take my wife out tommorrow to get some fishing in. Thinking if I can put her on some fish, she would get hooked and want to fish more. Just hoping for a little help from "Those Who Know" where the Sunfish/Crappie bite might be consistant. We don't need a limit, just a meal or two.

You have a hard sell going for you there. You could always do what I did to get my wife to want to go out more than just once. Hit on an area that is flat and is holding perch. I went out on Browns and we got some nice sized perch. I had a buddy in a spear house a little ways away and the perch were everywhere. The next day I had her out on Long (On the chain) and had the largest cat that I had ever seen on didn't know if the head would have fit up the hole I lost it at the hole but it was a blast listening to the rattle reel take off and then the battle.

The wife likes to summer fish -- just need to get her hooked on fishing them through the ice. It is more fun this way.

Any thoughts anyone for a spot?

A few things you may want to let those who have been out this year know is how far you are willing to travel by foot. Some places are easy to get to others are a longer haul. My best suggestion from past experience would be Horseshoe in the last bay from Richmond. There are several areas but the others would know where they are biting at now. I used to catch some nice crappies out on Rice but haven't been out there in a couple of years as the cat fshing has drawn me primarily to the chain. Plus by the Meth Hole there is far less congestion.

I am fishing cats at the meth hole area friday but also wondering if you have any suggestions for cat locations on Long?
