water on ice

Recommended Posts

Icehawk, you are correct. I went and pulled my house off a small area lake and it's spooky out there. There was a crack right behind my house with the water running in it. It was a hole in the ice shortly, so be careful on the ice, especially at night.
There was a lady screaming out there and when I looked she was sailing across the ice at a good rate of speed. She opened her fishtrap style house and the wind caught it and away she went. Her husband/boyfriend was going help, went about five steps and landed on his back in the water. Most of the collapsibles are on the north shore in the trees. Not a bad idea to check your houses!!!

I just got back from a bluegill outing on the chain, and I want to give a heads up to people with houses on the chain. There is alot of standing water out there, if you have a house out there or no someone who does, I would go check on them. I would block them or get them off, they might be froze in the next time you venture out.

Also noticed alot of collapsibles flipped over laying in the water. There is about 1-2 inches of standing water out there now, its running into holes and opening areas(spearholes) quickly. Be carefull when venturing out.

We moved our 8x12 to the shore on little rock. I heard from a friend that lives on the lake that there were houses bobbing... might want to check your house if you have one out there.
