Terminology??

Recommended Posts

I am just going to have to claim my ignorance here and ask: What is a deadhead? We are heading to LOW next month from Kansas City, where we have sand bars, boulders, stumps, and flying carp, but nothing we call "deadheads". Could someone please enlighten me? Maybe some coordinates of some hidden hazards? Thanks.

A "deadhead" is generally a floating stump or log. Usually they are on the move so locations are changing. Haven't heard of many lately, you been hearing of some.

I trolled by a deadhead on Saturday about 5 miles out. It would have been a bad one to hit going fast. That's the first one I've seen that far out. You just have to keep your eyes peeled.
