Fishing Reports

I used to do a weekly report for the entire area. Funny how kids cut into your writing time huh? lolol It never made a difference in the amount of clients I had so I stopped. Most folks pick up enough from the boards here to go find their own fish anyways. It was getting really repetitive too, same stuff different week. I was thinking about starting up again this fall about ice up.. Paul

Big Dawg

How come there are no fishing reports from around Ottertail on the main fishing reports page. Sure wouldbe nice to see one once and awhile. Detroit Lake is the closest one that is ussually posted.

Big Dawg,
Fishing on Ottertail is GREAT, provided you get in the right spot in the right depth and the right presentation, and the weather is stable!! If you don't or the weather is unstable, fishing on Ottertail sucks! This time of year you can get walleyes in 8 feet, 18 feet, and 28 feet on crankbaits, crawlers, and minnows. Jigs work good some days, and lindy rigs are the best on other days. So there's your fishing report. The only way to know for sure it to get out and try yourself! Relying on someone else to give you a report almost always means you get there too late.

Extremely well said Matt,
Most reports are just that, how we did last week, period. Things change so fast in the fishing world. One day your the dog, next day your the hydrant. If its in a report odds are you wont find me there cause its all over.. :-) Have an awesome full moon bite guys!! Paul
